Computers and Blues – best album 2011
January 12, 2012

The Streets – Lock the Locks (2011)

It is simple
January 11, 2012

It is all as simple as, you think when you were little.
It is all as simple as me sinking a little drink
— The Streets – Blip On A Screen

Start over, and remember you have only 1/2 the fault.

Curaj
January 9, 2012

Do I really want to do what I am about to do today?
October 6, 2011

…for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself:
If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?
And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

One small detail in the equation
October 6, 2011

I’ve forgotten one small detail in the equation that I’m trying to solve, which is called my life.

That small but very important ingredient is death.
I’ve forgot that everything, all your worries or fears of failure, vanquish before death. It is something that we all have to deal with at some point.

And when you think at this, and you realize that you only have a limited amount of time, you will then focus only on the important things in your life.

A good question to ask yourself each day in the morning, that helps you take decisions in the tough moments of life is:
If today is my last day before I die, do I still want to do the same things that I am going to?

If the answer to this question is No, too many days in a row, you should make a change.

This question will be correct one day, and I just hope that then your answer will be affirmative.

Biggest life regret
August 30, 2011

(KamilFilms – 2011)

I was thinking at how I would have responded to this question while watching the first part of the video.

Then, I just thought that you are more entitled to answer this question when you are 50-60 y old, because by then it’s more likely that you’ve made your biggest life mistake.
So I thought at what I would say when I would be old and I came up with something like this: Not marrying the girl from high school.
And, somebody actually did response in this lines, even nicer (that’s why the first answer is in bold).

I’ve listed bellow some of the regrets that, with small adjustments, can easily become mine also.

Not marrying that last… when we were in highschool 50 years ago and letting her move off to Canada.
And meeting her 50 years later and finally marrying her. We’ve been married for one year.

That I don’t get back to people when I should. Sometimes it’s good to get back to people.  And I have a big fault with that.

Not going to visit my grand father when I knew he was sick.

Not spending enough time with my father…

Not continuing education

That I didn’t start living for joy sooner

That I’m 75, when I wish I was 65

When I first came into this world, as a baby, my father didn’t presented me with a bag of money 🙂

Not to attend collage at campus

>>Actually I try not to regret a thing… Don’t bother with regrets. They are not worth the effort!

P.S.: I think this can become another “life song”, like Baz Luhrmann – Everybody’s Free To Wear Sunscreen . The background melody in the video is nice, and what the people are saying (with a little editing) can become advices.

Stop dreaming and Start doing

“I’m thinking about having a drink.”
Re: “Stop thinking and start pouring!”

Take a step, any step. You’ll feel good getting a task done and then be encouraged to take on another one.

Keep it simple and forget perfect.  Figure out what’s the subject, everything else is secondary.

Don’t reinvent the wheel. Use the tools that already exist.

Tell people you’re starting. Nothing makes it “real” faster than telling the people in your life, and ,by knowing, they will support you emotionally and otherwise.

Tell people what you need.  You’ll be surprised what a small world it is that way.

The time is now
June 29, 2011

It’s time for a series of bold and inspired decisions.
We can’t be living like this all the time.
Recently I’ve saw a film called The Adjustment Bureau, and there was one thing interesting in it. They were talking about free will. I wish i had it. I hope i will learn more about it.
